Just some pictures

Hey guys!

Thought I would share some pictures now as my next post will be a TUSAL post and those are always very picture heavy so lets spread the love <3

First up will be some stitching because well this is a stitching blog after all.

I am getting so close to finishing Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  I think there are just 2 more blocks after this one.

And this Frog Biscornu by Casey Buonaugurio is going to be the death of me.  The pattern printed out so tiny and is so hard to read but I am getting there.  The first side only needs little hearts in the corners and it will be finished.

The most wonderful Mama in the whole world, mine ;), made this beautiful wall hanging for me.  It fits in in my kitchen perfectly.  Thanks Mama!

Fall colors on Prince Edward Island

My oldest bambino at his 4H Halloween dance

This one is from last night before we went trick-or-treating.  Also notice there are no leaves left on the trees and the grass has turned a not so pretty shade of brown :( winter is on it's way.  Also would like to note I was not for the scary clown costume...

And my youngest at a community Halloween party

I also earned a couple badges from a stitching SAL on The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group on Facebook.  For this SAL each day the amount of stitches you had to stitch for that day was revealed and thankfully there were 4 or 5 days at the end to catch up if you fell behind... I needed those days.

The first one was for making it to the halfway point

And this one was for completing

And I guess that is all.

Hope you are all well and getting lots of stitching time in!

Happy Stitching!

Life and a few pictures

Well well well.  It's been quite awhile since I have had a second to sit down and write a post.  And in all honesty I really should be folding clothes right now but it can wait.

Actually Thomas really needs a bath so I am going to do that and be right back.

Ok that is done.  I really have no idea how single moms do it.

So how have you all been?  I am struggling to keep up with my blog reading but so far I am managing, kinda.  Work is going quite well.  My part time job turned into a full time job while one of the managers had to take a leave but she will be back in 2 more weeks so I will be back to part time and that is quite fine with me.  My house is very neglected and I miss my family but the extra money right now is very nice.

On to the stitching!

Halloween Rules - I am actually quite a bit further on this block but I guess I haven't taken a picture lately.  How I would love to have this hanging on my wall right now but hopefully it will be next Halloween.

Deepest Love - I am enjoying this one so much!

Larry Lion - Looking quite creepy here.  I guess that works for this time of year.  I am also quite a bit further on this one.  I think I need to be a little more on top of taking progress pictures.

Mothers and Daughters - This one is accurate except for the few stitches I put in today.

And lastly is Hannah Lynn.  I am actually closer to the top of her head which means I almost have another column done!  Yay!

Well yall, it's been nice to catch up but I am tired so I am gong to go to bed and hopefully watch a whole episode of Downton Abbey before I fall asleep.

I am hoping to be back tomorrow... maybe... with a finish.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stitching!

I'm going back to work!

Hi guys!

So today is going to be my first day of work at my new job!  It is in a little store at our local mall.  It doesn't open until 9 am so perfect for me to get the kiddos to school and is only open until 9pm so no late nights.

I have been getting a little stitching done, not much but a little.

I am so close to finishing March on the Joyful World SAL.  Another couple days, maybe even one day will finish it up.

I finished block 2 on Halloween Rules.  This one is a fun stitch.

I finished another word on ABC Christmas, Zzzz.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day and I better go and get ready for work!

Happy Stitching!

Camping is the life for me!

Hey guys!

Get a drink and sit back...this could take awhile.

I am camping!
Right now as we speak I am sitting at my table, waiting for my coffee to get here, while Brayden gets ready for his first day of swimming lessons.  So I thought I should catch up with all of you while I pass the time.  And it sure is a time passer!  Campground wi-fi leaves a lot to be desired!

Onto the first picture which only took 10 minutes to upload. Ha!  Good thing I have all week.

Halloween Rules - I finally finished the first block!  I just love how cute it is.

Remy Rabbit - Finished the red on the stocking.  Not much left to go now.

Hannah Lynn - started up the next row.

Steotchalong - Finished the main part.  Now I have to choose from 16 different possibilities for the bottom.  I am pretty sure it is either going to say "The King of the North" or "Dumbledore's Army"

Joyful World SAL - Finished all the green stitching.

Cars - added 3 more movies worth of stitching to this.  It was only supposed to be 2 movies worth but I guess I can't tell the difference between a movie from 1994 and one from 2016.  Ha!  The movies for the Stitcher's Film Club this month were Labyrinth and The Jungle Book (2016).  I started with Labyrinth which I had never seen and I am a little angry that my parents didn't show it to me as a kid.  We had seen everything else Jim Henson had a hand in so I am not sure why this one slipped through the cracks.

My most favorite Jim Henson movie is A Muppet Family Christmas where all the muppets go to Fozzie's mother's house and Miss Piggy gets stuck in the snowstorm and Kermit finds the Fraggles.  The best!  I found it on youtube if you are in a Christmas movie mood -

My second and third movies for the month were both The Jungle Book.  My boys were hogging the tv so I figured I would just watch it online.  Quick search and there we go.  I had watched half of it when my sister came for a visit and I knew she had watched it so I asked her what she thought about it.  She was raving about the young boy in it and the special effects.  I was shocked she was so impressed with the special effects as I hadn't noticed any and then I asked her when the animals start talking and she quickly figured out we had not watched the same movie.  I was watching the 1994 version, none the wiser.  And really it has held up pretty well over the last 20 years.  So once I finished the first one I told the boys we were all going to watch a movie and got the proper one playing and I loved it!  Christopher Walkin as King Louie was so good!  And Bill Murray was the perfect Baloo.

And now a few pictures of my babies.

This is the only picture I have of Thomas recently and while his mouth is blue and his pose is a little awkward it is all I got.  Him and Monty are slowly coming to some sort of understanding. I really hadn't thought through a 4 year old and a maniac puppy.

This is from Brayden's last day of soccer for the year.

This one is his 8th birthday picture!  That's right I am now mom to an 8 year old!  We spent his day yesterday hanging around the campground and last night he chose a round of mini golf and cheeseburgers for supper.  Perfect way to spend the day turning 8!

Well I hope this takes you all less time to read than it did for me to write it.  Ha!

Happy Stitching!

July TUSAL

Hello!

July is almost over!!!  Where is the summer going?!  I only have one more month of my baby being home with me everyday until he starts pre-school and Brayden starts grade 3!  I could cry.  I need a moment.

Ok back to business.

Here is my July TUSAL.  It looks like a good amount but is actually more frogging orts than stitching orts.

And since I just posted all my progress a few days ago I am only going to show the projects that have progress on them since that post.

First up Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  I fixed all the mistakes and added a few stitches to the puppy's face.  I hope to get this first block finished by next month.

I finished the first page of my working copy on Deepest Love by Mirabilia

I am falling behind on my Brooke's Books Advent Animals.  This is the first month since I started that I don't think I am going to have one finished.  I love them but I am going to be happy to be when they are done!

Part 4 of the Steotchalong mystery stitch-a-long is complete.  I don't even have half a guess what it is going to be.  Do any of you?  All their other mystery stitch-a-longs have been movie/tv related...if that helps any!

I have finished 3 colors so far on the March portion of The Joyful World SAL by The Snowflower Diaries.

And lastly I added another word to ABC Christmas by LizzieKate.  This month over at the Christmas Ornie SAL Blog the theme was birds/animals so I stitched Dove.  There is an actual dove beside the word and in real life he doesn't blend into the fabric.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and leaving comments!  I love each and every one of them :)

Happy stitching!

Slack blogger!

Hello out there!

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer.  My boys and I have been keeping busy trying to enjoy as much of our little island as we can.

I have also been getting in a little stitching here and there which I will show you now.

Still stitching away on the Joyful World SAL from The Snowflower Diaries.

I made it to the top of another row on Hannah Lynn.  Those rows sure are getting long!

I started on the word "Dove" from ABC Christmas by LizzieKate.

I stitched a bit on Cars while watching The Stitcher's Film Club movies this month.  The two movies chosen this month were Into The Wood and Moulin Rouge!  I really enjoyed both of them!  If any of you would like to join us we have a facebook group, just look up "Stitcher's Film Club"

I finally managed to finish the over one birds on Mothers And Daughters by The Victoria Sampler.  I sure am glad those little birds are finished!

My little puppy dog is almost finished on Halloween Rules  but I found out I made a mistake on the word "Costume" so it is in the process of coming out.

And lastly is my mystery sampler from Steotch.  I have no idea at all what it is going to turn out to be.  I think they only do tv and movie themed patterns, not that that is much help in figuring out what this is going to be.

Well guys I am pretty near cooked!  It has been hot and humid here on PEI so I am going to go get a big glass of ice water and try not to move too much until the sun goes down.

Happy Stitching!

Happy Belated Canada Day and 4th of July!!

And since I got sidetracked yesterday, now belated 4th of July!

Hello to you all!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday if you celebrate and if not I hope you had a great time with whatever you were doing.  (Hopefully getting some stitching in!)

Here are a couple pictures of my boys from the Canada Day parade.

And here is Brayden on his last day of grade 2!  I can't believe how fast this school year went!

And now a little stitching update!

All I have left on the first block of Halloween Rules is the dog.

I am very close to finishing the first "page" on Deepest Love.  I say "page" because I made a working copy so it will be the first page of my working copy, the actually pattern is really only 1 huge page, front and back.

Remy Rabbit is slow going but getting there.

March from the Joyful World SAL by The Snowflower Diaries is coming along too.  All the orange color is finished and I started adding the prettiest shade of blue.

So yesterday turned out to be quite a day.  I had made plans with a good friend of mine to have an evening of stitching.  After I ate supper, which I had burnt fairly well on the BBQ...yum... I headed out.  I decided to stop for 5 skeins of floss at Micheal's so I just grabbed some change and headed in when I thought no I better go back to the van and grab my wallet, I shouldn't leave it in the van.  While doing so I set my keys on the seat and then proceeded to lock the doors.  45 minutes and a coat hanger later I was on the road again.  I did make it to my friends house but our evening ended up being a lot shorter than we had planned.  Oh well we had a fun time anyway.

Wishing all of you a happy day and hoping you all are getting to do something you love.
