Life and a few pictures

Well well well.  It's been quite awhile since I have had a second to sit down and write a post.  And in all honesty I really should be folding clothes right now but it can wait.

Actually Thomas really needs a bath so I am going to do that and be right back.

Ok that is done.  I really have no idea how single moms do it.

So how have you all been?  I am struggling to keep up with my blog reading but so far I am managing, kinda.  Work is going quite well.  My part time job turned into a full time job while one of the managers had to take a leave but she will be back in 2 more weeks so I will be back to part time and that is quite fine with me.  My house is very neglected and I miss my family but the extra money right now is very nice.

On to the stitching!

Halloween Rules - I am actually quite a bit further on this block but I guess I haven't taken a picture lately.  How I would love to have this hanging on my wall right now but hopefully it will be next Halloween.

Deepest Love - I am enjoying this one so much!

Larry Lion - Looking quite creepy here.  I guess that works for this time of year.  I am also quite a bit further on this one.  I think I need to be a little more on top of taking progress pictures.

Mothers and Daughters - This one is accurate except for the few stitches I put in today.

And lastly is Hannah Lynn.  I am actually closer to the top of her head which means I almost have another column done!  Yay!

Well yall, it's been nice to catch up but I am tired so I am gong to go to bed and hopefully watch a whole episode of Downton Abbey before I fall asleep.

I am hoping to be back tomorrow... maybe... with a finish.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stitching!

Camping is the life for me!

Hey guys!

Get a drink and sit back...this could take awhile.

I am camping!
Right now as we speak I am sitting at my table, waiting for my coffee to get here, while Brayden gets ready for his first day of swimming lessons.  So I thought I should catch up with all of you while I pass the time.  And it sure is a time passer!  Campground wi-fi leaves a lot to be desired!

Onto the first picture which only took 10 minutes to upload. Ha!  Good thing I have all week.

Halloween Rules - I finally finished the first block!  I just love how cute it is.

Remy Rabbit - Finished the red on the stocking.  Not much left to go now.

Hannah Lynn - started up the next row.

Steotchalong - Finished the main part.  Now I have to choose from 16 different possibilities for the bottom.  I am pretty sure it is either going to say "The King of the North" or "Dumbledore's Army"

Joyful World SAL - Finished all the green stitching.

Cars - added 3 more movies worth of stitching to this.  It was only supposed to be 2 movies worth but I guess I can't tell the difference between a movie from 1994 and one from 2016.  Ha!  The movies for the Stitcher's Film Club this month were Labyrinth and The Jungle Book (2016).  I started with Labyrinth which I had never seen and I am a little angry that my parents didn't show it to me as a kid.  We had seen everything else Jim Henson had a hand in so I am not sure why this one slipped through the cracks.

My most favorite Jim Henson movie is A Muppet Family Christmas where all the muppets go to Fozzie's mother's house and Miss Piggy gets stuck in the snowstorm and Kermit finds the Fraggles.  The best!  I found it on youtube if you are in a Christmas movie mood -

My second and third movies for the month were both The Jungle Book.  My boys were hogging the tv so I figured I would just watch it online.  Quick search and there we go.  I had watched half of it when my sister came for a visit and I knew she had watched it so I asked her what she thought about it.  She was raving about the young boy in it and the special effects.  I was shocked she was so impressed with the special effects as I hadn't noticed any and then I asked her when the animals start talking and she quickly figured out we had not watched the same movie.  I was watching the 1994 version, none the wiser.  And really it has held up pretty well over the last 20 years.  So once I finished the first one I told the boys we were all going to watch a movie and got the proper one playing and I loved it!  Christopher Walkin as King Louie was so good!  And Bill Murray was the perfect Baloo.

And now a few pictures of my babies.

This is the only picture I have of Thomas recently and while his mouth is blue and his pose is a little awkward it is all I got.  Him and Monty are slowly coming to some sort of understanding. I really hadn't thought through a 4 year old and a maniac puppy.

This is from Brayden's last day of soccer for the year.

This one is his 8th birthday picture!  That's right I am now mom to an 8 year old!  We spent his day yesterday hanging around the campground and last night he chose a round of mini golf and cheeseburgers for supper.  Perfect way to spend the day turning 8!

Well I hope this takes you all less time to read than it did for me to write it.  Ha!

Happy Stitching!

Slack blogger!

Hello out there!

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer.  My boys and I have been keeping busy trying to enjoy as much of our little island as we can.

I have also been getting in a little stitching here and there which I will show you now.

Still stitching away on the Joyful World SAL from The Snowflower Diaries.

I made it to the top of another row on Hannah Lynn.  Those rows sure are getting long!

I started on the word "Dove" from ABC Christmas by LizzieKate.

I stitched a bit on Cars while watching The Stitcher's Film Club movies this month.  The two movies chosen this month were Into The Wood and Moulin Rouge!  I really enjoyed both of them!  If any of you would like to join us we have a facebook group, just look up "Stitcher's Film Club"

I finally managed to finish the over one birds on Mothers And Daughters by The Victoria Sampler.  I sure am glad those little birds are finished!

My little puppy dog is almost finished on Halloween Rules  but I found out I made a mistake on the word "Costume" so it is in the process of coming out.

And lastly is my mystery sampler from Steotch.  I have no idea at all what it is going to turn out to be.  I think they only do tv and movie themed patterns, not that that is much help in figuring out what this is going to be.

Well guys I am pretty near cooked!  It has been hot and humid here on PEI so I am going to go get a big glass of ice water and try not to move too much until the sun goes down.

Happy Stitching!

A Little bit of stitching

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are well and getting lots of stitching in!

Here is what I have been up to lately.

Hannah Lynn has almost another row finished.

I am almost finished with the border on March from The Joyful World SAL.

I finished the first page on Mothers and Daughters by The Victoria Sampler.  This one is just so much fun to stitch!

I am almost finished with the cute little ghost on Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  All he needs is his little pumpkin basket.

My mermaid almost has a fin on Deepest Love by Mirabilia.

And lastly is ABC Christmas by LizzieKate with a paw from my little friend.

And speaking of my little friend, here he is enjoying an afternoon nap.  Excuse my bare foot :)

Thank you all so much for stopping by to visit with me!

A little update and a BIG update!

Hello!!

It is a beautiful warm sunny day here on Prince Edward Island.  I have been out enjoyed the sun quite a bit today but more on that later.

On to the stitching!

I am enjoying stitching this one so much!  It is Mothers & Daughters by The Victoria Sampler.  I am about 1/3 of the way through and am already planning the next one I am going to stitch.

Next is Halloween Rules by Lizzie Kate.  I finished off the header, which I am not showing here, and added a little ghost :)

Deepest Love is coming slowly but surely.  I am almost finished with the first page but if I keep going at this pace I will never finish it!

And since I finished Hamilton Horse yesterday I rewarded myself with stitching on Hannah Lynn from Heaven and Earth Designs for the rest of the day.  I almost have made it to the top again!

And now for my big update!

I would like to introduce you all to Monty!  The boys are quite taken with him and I am too!  This is why I have been enjoying the sunshine so much, we are outside 15 times a day I am sure!

Oh to be a puppy!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit with me!

A little update and my retreat stitching

Hiya!

I have been stitching lately, just not posting.  But here is what I have been up to.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia is coming along slowly.  I don't know why since I love stitching on it but every time it comes up in rotation I seem to be too busy to stitch.

I am almost finished of my third word on ABC Christmas.  I hope to have it finished tomorrow.

I completed one pattern on block 9 of Save The Stitches.

And now on to retreat stitching!

I got there on Friday after lunch and got right to stitching.  I managed a few hundred stitches on Hannah Lynn before I called it a night the first day.  Getting close to the top of her head!

Saturday I started Mothers And Daughters Sampler by The Victoria Sampler.  I am so in love with this and actually am with all their patterns, I can't wait to finish this and stitch more of their beautiful designs!

And then the last day I worked on Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.

The retreat was so much fun, we have a great group and spent a lot of time laughing, maybe more laughing than stitching but that is ok.

Hope you all are getting lots of stitching done!

Happy Stitching!
