TUSAL #4

Hello friends!

I am late this month but I actually have a valid excuse this time!  My job went from 12 hours a week to 40ish hours a week so my time for anything has been cut.  I haven't officially accepted the job so I am going to give it a go for a month or so then decide if a full time job will work for our family.  So far so good though!

Now on to the orts!
Pretty skimpy :(

I had one finish this month.  Deborah Donkey by Brooke`s Books.  Only 1 to go!

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was to add 600 and I added 1507!  I know I won`t get that many in again this month but I am going to try for 900 or a page finish.  Whatever comes first.

Rudolph Reindeer by Brooke`s Books.  My goal was to finish him and I am very close so my goal will remain the same.

Spring Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkins.  I had no goal for this but I did manage to finish the second row.  My goal for this will be to finish the block I am stitching on right now.

April from The Joyful World SAL by The Snowflower Diaries.  My goal was to finish the bunny and I only got his bottom half stitched.  New goal is to finish this.

Manger Ornament by Alessandra Adelaide.  My goal was to add 200 stitches and I added 210.  I am going to keep my goal at 200 stitches.

So for all that stitching I managed to finish stitching another planet for the Semi Sane Stitches Facebook group.

I also received a couple badges from The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group for completing some SALs.

And another from the Semi Sane Stitches.  This one was a SAL where each letter in your name had a value so a=10, b=20 and so on.  And then you doubled your number... I had to stitch 2260... and they all had to be on Hannah Lynn, which is why I made such great progress on her.

And a few pictures of my boys.  Tom turned 6 this past month and here he is opening gifts at his party.  Just a little excited :)

Here is Bray at the Heritage Fair at his school.  His grade had to take in an artifact that had to do with their family history.  He chose to take a cream can that came from his great grandparents farm.  They would take the cream to the creamery once a week and to keep it cold between trips they would keep the can in the brook.

So I guess that is it for me.  I have to work in the morning so I best head off to bed.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stitching!

TUSAL #3

Hiya!

I'm late once again but that isn't anything new is it?  Ha!

Here are my orts.  It is a little fuller than it should be though.  My dog got ahold of a spool of Kreinik :(

Now on to the stitching!

I had 2 more finishes this month.  First one was Avada Kedavra by PixelPower

And the second one was Deepest Love by Mirabilia.

Crazy Socks by Rosewood Manor.  My goal was to finish filling in the second sock and I only managed about a third.  So my goal will remain the same of filling that sock in.

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was to add 600 stitches and I added 881.5.  My goal will stay the same at 600 stitches.

Deborah Donkey by Brooke's Books.  My goal was to finish her and I am so very close.  Just need to finish the backstitching so my goal will remain the same.

Rudolph Reindeer by Brooke's Books.  I didn't have a goal for him but my new goal is to finish him.

Mickey by ElCrossstitch.  My goal was to finish Dopey.  I almost made it.  New goal is to finish Dopey and start on Bolt.

Spring Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin.  It looks like I hadn't stitched on this since December and I didn't have a goal but I did manage to almost finish the second row this month.  Not sure when I will stitch on this again so no new goal.

I had a couple new starts this past month.  First one was April by The Snowflower Diaries.  My new goal is finish stitching the bunny.

And my second new start was Manager Ornament by Alessandra Adelaide.  My goal on it is to add 200 stitches.

And that is my friends is all the progress I made for this time around.  And because of that progress I was able to complete another planet in the Stitching Around The Solar System SAL in the Semi Sane Stitchers group.

These next few badges are for completing the SALs in the Ultimate Cross Stitch Group.

Now some life stuff.  My best friend and I went to a cookie decorating class with At Your Service Creations and it was so much fun!  I really learned a lot and plan to make and decorate cookies at home now.

She even gave a couple extra cookies to take home so the boys got to decorate cookies too.

I don't know about you guys but when you see a cow in an airport you have to take a picture with it.  We are lucky enough to live where Cows Ice Cream originated and it isn't unusual to find a large fiberglass (? I'm assuming that is what they are made of) cow indoors.

And finally if you are still here that is the end.  We are in our first day of March Break here and Thomas has a stomach bug so we aren't doing too much and I am quite ok with that.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stitching!

TUSAL #2

Happy TUSAL!!

My little jar had lots to eat this month.  I even managed to have two more finishes!

My first finish was Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.

Second finish was Frog Biscornu by Casey Buonaugurio Designs.  I even FFO'd it!

Crazy Socks by Rosewood Manor.  I had no goal for this one but I added some more to the little doodads in between the socks and got a good start on the next sock.  My goal is to get the second sock filled in.

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was to add 600 stitches and I only added 379.  My goal of 600 stitches will stay the same.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to finish all the stitching and I did and have started beading.  New goal is to finish her.

Pitbulls by FlumpkinsXStitchers.  I hauled this one out for a SAL and ended up adding quite a few stitches to it.  No new goal as I don't know when I will take it out again.

Draft Horses was only out for 1 day of stitching so not much progress.  No goal as I don't know when it will be out again.

Deborah Donkey and Rudolph Reindeer by Brooke's Books.  I had started Deborah awhile back but just started Rudolph this past month.  These are the last 2 advent animals!  I wasn't sure I was ever going to see the day these ornaments were finished but the end is in sight!  My goal is to finish Deborah.

My other new start was Disney Mickey by DigiPoint.  I finished Princess Tiana and started on Dopey...?  My goal is to finish Dopey.

I finished a few more planets last month.

Eris = 1445 stitches

Haumea = 1218 stitches

Pluto = 1473 stitches

This cute badge was for participating in the January SAL on The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group.

This one was for getting hit with a snowball for the event Snowball Fever Frenzy on The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group

And this one was for completing the event.

So I guess that is it for me this time round.

Hope you all are well and are staying warm!

Happy Stitching!

First TUSAL of 2019!!

Happy 2019 everyone!!
Hope your new year is going wonderfully!  Mine so far has been pretty good.

December was pretty much a bust in the stitching department so most of these orts are from the new year.  I have even managed a couple finishes so far this year!  Things are looking up :)

Now for the stitching!

Halloween Rules by LizzieKate - My goal was to finish the Howl at the Moon block and I only managed to add "at the".  And I am not going to add a new goal because I have since finished it!

Crazy Socks by Rosewood Manor - I hadn't set a goal for this one but I did manage to fill in quite a bit more on the border and since I am not sure when this one will pop up again I am not going to bother with a goal.

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was 600 stitches.  I only managed to get 211.5 in.  My goal of 600 stitches will remain the same.

Alistair Alligator by Brooke's Books.  My goal was to finish him and I did!  New goal is to get the last 2 in this series finished.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to finish the page I was working on and the white pouf thing in her hand and I did!  New goal is to finish all the stitching.

New start and finish!  Joy a freebie from Pineberry Lane Designs.

Here are my silly boys on Christmas Eve with their new jammies.

The Semi Sane Stitchers group on Facebook is having a Stitch Through the Solar System event.  1 stitch equals 1 mile and so far I have stitched the diameter of Ceres, 590 miles, and Makemake, 1180 miles.  Next up is Haumea with 1218 miles.  Not sure if I will ever get Jupitar finished... 88846 miles in diameter!

I was also so very lucky to win an end of the year drawing in Semi Sane Stitchers and I got a Heaven and Earth Pattern.  I chose Witches and Crones by Jane Wooster Scott.  I would love to start it right now but I am going to finish Hannah Lynn before I start this one.

So that is it for this super late TUSAL post.  It has been in a half finished state for 2 weeks now so this morning I made myself put everything else off until I finished it!  Now it is back to laundry for me.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Stitching!
