She's Home, She's Home!!!

Hello!  Hello!

Can you tell I am excited?!  Well if not, I am very excited :)

Yesterday I hung Titania on my wall and all was right in my world.  She was framed by Old Crow Weaving & Framing.  They did the most wonderful job of choosing the perfect mat and frame.  I couldn't be happier with how she turned out.  And now I get to stare at her every day.

I have been getting a little bit of stitching done too.  Here is Cassie Cow, which I was able to finish off 6 colors on yesterday.

One more measly word got stitched on ABC's of Parenting

And 23 whole stitches was all I manged on Cars the last day I stitched on it.

I do have a good excuse, I was finishing off a really good book.  It is called Lake In The Clouds by Sara Donati.  It is book 3 in the Wilderness Series.  If anyone is looking for a new series of books to sink your teeth into this is a good one!  The books start of with a lady coming from England to live in a remote village in New York in the late 1700s to start a school for the children of the village.  That is all I am giving you.

And then I started another really good book that is the complete opposite of Lake In The Clouds.  It is called Ready Player One by Ernest Cline and is set in 2044, people are living in travel trailers stacked 40 high because we have run out of room and virtual reality is how everyone does everything.  I.Can't.Put.It.Down.  I was reading it while I waited for my pictures to upload on this post!  Ha!  And it is being made into a movie directed by Steven Spielberg!  Hopefully the next book I pick up is a boring one so I can get some stitching done.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stitching complete!

Well hello there!

Yesterday I finished all the stitching on Titania.  What a wonderful feeling that was!

These are the last picture you all will see of her until her beads are complete.  I am about halfway up one wing so far and I am loving beading but the beading needle and I are having a hard time getting used to each other.  It seems to have a mind of it's own and most of the time it wants to be stuck in my finger.

Well I am off to Game of Thrones trivia with some friends.  Do any of you watch it?  If not I think it is super and everyone should watch it :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Coming close to the end

Hello stitchy friends!

Titania is getting close to being finished!  I am kinda sad to think she will be done soon but I am so excited to think about starting my next Mirabilia...but I think I will take a little break before I start another one.

Here she is while I was moving the Qsnap.

This is the section I am working on now.  Just need to finish the tops of her wings, slap some beads on her and call her done.

And my friends the June Bugs are out now so no more late night outings for this girl.  Tonight was stitching guild night and I didn't get home until it was almost dark out.  Luckily my nephew left his sweater in my van and I was able to wrap it around my head while I very slowly crept up the front stairs, then manically tried to unlock the door.  I am happy to tell you all that the June Bugs didn't get me tonight!  Are there June Bugs where you guys live?  If not I may be you new neighbor soon!

The camera has been found!

Hello friends!

Thomas came to me today holding my camera.  I have no idea where it has been hiding these past couple days but I know I will make sure I have it hidden from now on.

Here is Titania's face I was telling you all about.  I am very happy with how the 1 over 1 skin turned out.  I really wasn't sure I could pull that off.

Since I finished the cottage I pulled out the 12 Days of Christmas freebie by Plum Street Samplers.  I love everything about this piece and will definitely be checking out more Plum Street patterns!

Thanks for stopping by!

Titania has a face!

And I wish I could show you all a picture but my camera has mysteriously gone missing.  Brayden says he knows nothing about it and Thomas says he did have it but it was me that hid it.... umm great.

So as soon as the camera makes it's return I will share a picture.

May TUSAL

Hi, just me again!

I forgot TUSAL for the third month in a row!  My memory is going!

I thought it would be nice to show my projects along with my orts.

So for this month I worked on Cottage Trio by Janlynn.

I finished Duncan Dog from Brooke's Books

I finished Merry Christmas by Country Cottage Needleworks, which is from a Just Cross Stitch Christmas magazine.

And Titania from Mirabilia.

See you all next month!

Retreat weekend is over for another year :(

Hello my friends!

Happy belated Mother's Day!

I spent this past weekend with my stitching guild at our annual retreat.  We had a ball!  But I am still recovering today from all the excitement.

In between charades, laughing and munching I managed to put a few stitches in on Titania.  I just need to finish her face and the tops of her wings and I will be onto the beading!

I also made a couple new starts.  This one is for the Christmas Ornie SAL Blog for this month.  It is Yuletide by Plum Street Samplers from the 2011 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Special.

My other new start is Hattie Hedgehog by Brooke's Books which is day 5 of the Advent Animals series.  I put in a whole day on her at the retreat so she is almost finished.

I also made a few purchases from Because You Count.  They are a needlework shop from Moncton NB and they come over every year with a few things and they set up a little shop for us.

All in all we had a wonderful weekend and I can't wait for next year!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends too!

Just waiting on the roofers

Hello friends!!

Yesterday was Cottage Trio day and it is getting close to being finished! I really wasn't sure we would ever see that day.  All that is left is the roof and the big tree on the right.

I have also been working away on Titania but there usually isn't much to show, over 1 stitching doesn't make much progress each day.

Last night was stitching guild night and we all went out for supper together before the meeting and we had a lovely time!  I really needed the night out because I am trying to potty train Thomas.  It is not going well.  It wasn't easy with Brayden either.  I am so jealous of those kids who just train themselves.  Thomas has told me today that he doesn't want to pee in the toilet anymore and just wants to pee in his diaper.  Perfect.  We have gone through at least 5 pairs of underwear and pants today and now he is in a diaper because we ran out of clean underwear.  I think we will just leave the potty training alone right now and try again next month.  Wish me luck, I know I am going to need all I can get! Ha!

Titania update

Hello friends!

I haven't stitched much this past week because I have been helping my brother-in-law and sister-in-law move.  I plan to make up for it this week though!

This is where I was last you saw Titania.

And here is where she is now.  I am really happy with how her 1 over 1 skin is looking.  Now I am itching to put some beads on but I am going to try to hold off until all the stitching is done.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Tooth is an FFO

Hiya!

I finally finished off Sweet Tooth which was a limited edition pattern from The Frosted Pumpkin. My mom made it into a pillow and today I added the bakers twine for a hanger.  Now if my boy would just pop that tooth out we could use it for a Tooth Fairy pillow.

I have been getting some stitching in on Titania too and I am mainly focusing on her left wing and left arm.  Slow and steady.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
