10 Lords A-Leaping

Hello lovely people!

I picked up Plum Street Sampler's 12 Days freebie again and finished another day.

Now I only have 2 days left!  Wow that is a poor picture!  Sorry about that!

And here is my boy and his chickens!

The camera has been found!

Hello friends!

Thomas came to me today holding my camera.  I have no idea where it has been hiding these past couple days but I know I will make sure I have it hidden from now on.

Here is Titania's face I was telling you all about.  I am very happy with how the 1 over 1 skin turned out.  I really wasn't sure I could pull that off.

Since I finished the cottage I pulled out the 12 Days of Christmas freebie by Plum Street Samplers.  I love everything about this piece and will definitely be checking out more Plum Street patterns!

Nine Ladies Dancing

Hello friends!

I finished off the Ninth Day yesterday.  Those ladies were almost fun to stitch by the end of them... but I was quite happy to have them done.

And here is the whole thing.

So I had a few minutes at the end of the day to pick up Hannah Lynn.  I just put those few black stitches in at the bottom.

We are getting ready to head out to the movies today, Brayden has the day off of school for Turn Around Day/Middle of the School Year Day.  Hard to believe the school year is half over!!  We are going to see Kung Fu Panda 3 so I will let you all know how it is tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!

8 Maids A Milking

Hello there!

Day 189 brought me to the top of another row on Hannah Lynn.  I really love how she looks.

I also finished day 8 on 12 Days.  One row to go!

We have a storm brewing here and I think it is going to be a nasty one.  The schools were closed 2 hours early and that was while it was still calm out.  The snow has started and they are calling for 15-20cm and high winds so I am going to curl up and stitch the rest of the day away.  I hope you all get to do the same :)

Thanks for stopping by!

A big pink bow

Hiya!!

I spent most of the day yesterday filling in the pink bow at the top.

I spent the morning today chatting with an old friend about stitching and Temari balls.  We had plans to be crafty today but all we did was look at pictures and talk about all the beautiful things we want to do and you know what?  That was just as much fun as actually doing them :)  I hope you all have a friend like that.

So close

Hello friends!

My maids are almost complete.  Felicia made up my mind to go with gold buttons and I am quite happy with how they look so thank you Felicia!

I am sure tomorrow I will be able to get this block finished!

Last night was stitching guild night so that is where most of my progress happened.  It was a lovely evening as always and we have started discussing seminar which will take place here in 2018 so that is very exciting!

Thanks for stopping by!

1 maid down

Hiya!

I made a start on the maids yesterday.  There are quite a few stitches in each of these little ladies!

I am also looking for some opinions.  Each block so far has had a crown in it that I have stitched in gold.  This block doesn't and there is no room to add a crown so I was thinking I might fill in the button holes on the maid's dresses with gold.  Good idea or not?

Today is my little sister's birthday!  When Brayden was first learning to talk he started calling her Ya-ya and it is has been Ya-ya ever since so Happy Birthday Ya-ya we love ya!

Diagonal stitcher

Hello friends!!

I put another day in on Hannah Lynn which makes that 188 days in total.

I started stitching this project a little differently, on the diagonal.  I marked my chart with a little stair case and I am parking just to be more difficult.  :)  Actually I decided to stitch this way so that there wouldn't be page or column lines in the finished piece.  Also when I get to the edge of my 10 stitch diagonal staircase and there are more stitches of the same color as the last one on that line I keep stitching, as you can see below with the black and the yellow.  The only think I don't like about stitching this way is that I am stitching across about 8 pages of chart right now and it is confusing to keep them all in the correct order so this method may not be for everyone and I am not totally sure I would stitch another chart like this.

Yesterday I stitched from about the orange lines in her hair to above the sun.

I also got started on the Eighth Day.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope my ramblings above made a little sense or were of some help to someone :)

And here it is all together.

So after I finished my swans I pulled out Hannah Lynn from HAED.  I am pretty close to a page finish on this one, a good few days should get it finished.

The absolutely no good terrible day!

Hello friends :(

Yesterday I received this in the mail.

And this is a close up of that sticker.  "Officially repaired"  ??!!??  They didn't even fill in the info so I could at least track down where it was damaged at!

That envelope was supposed to contain 2 pieces of fabric from Sunny Dyes.  2 absolutely gorgeous pieces of fabric.  The envelope was completely empty except for the packing slip.  I contacted Sunny Dyes to see if there was any insurance on the package and was told that shipping would have been $32 if they would have added insurance and that they are sorry and I have to file any claims through my post office and to let them know how I make out.  I then called my post office to see what all I needed to start a claim and they told me that the shipper has to start the claim process.  I have written back to Sunny Dyes to tell them that but have not gotten any response.  I have also been talking to Paypal as they have buyer protection and they seemed quite willing to help me if I need them.  I really don't want them to take the money from the seller as it really wasn't their fault.  While they could have better packaging then that flimsy cereal box cardboard I know it is the fault of the postal service.  I will let you all know how I make out.

And some good news I have a page finish on Pitbulls.  That makes 4 pages finished.

And I started on the Seventh Day on 12 Days of Christmas.

Thanks for listening to me rant.
I hope the postal service where you are is more trustworthy.

Happy Stitching to you all!

Six Geese A Laying

Hi!

Halfway mark!!

I really didn't think this project would have taken me so long to stitch but I guess when I had some Christmas presents to finish and then not stitching for about 2 weeks because of the muscle I pulled in my neck really slowed this project down.  But it will be finished for next Christmas!

I made my goose a Canada Goose since I am Canadian and all.  (He kinda looked like a Canada Goose anyway I just added some white on his head that other wise would have just been empty holes like his wing)

Here is the whole project.  I am very pleased with it and can't wait to start another Plum Street Design.

Thanks for stopping by!

Slow stitching day

Hiya!

I didn't get much done on Little Wings yesterday but any progress is progress right??!

Brayden drew me a picture for my birthday.  It was of his Dad cutting the grass and I was dreaming of a diamond ring.  Pretty much sums things up haha.

First TUSAL of 2016

Welcome friends!

This is my first TUSAL of the new year.  If you are wondering what in the world I am collecting my leftover thread bits for click on the TUSAL above and it will take you to the blog that explains it all.

These gorgeous Mo's Sale threads were a birthday gift from my wonderful sister.  She is just the best!

Not sure if you can tell any difference from the last time I showed a progress picture for 12 Days of Christmas but I did work on it a little bit yesterday once I finished those ornaments off.  I completed the greenery and added a couple more rows of black on the goose.  Hopefully tomorrow I will get him finished up.

Happy Stitching!!
