Small Micheal's haul

I had a good trip to Micheal's the other day.  I got a scrapbook case for 3.99 and they are regualar 9.99, some floss to make some Christmas ornaments and some Halloween ribbon to finish off my Halloween Town.

All this ribbon was in a $1.00 bin!

And here is my 8x8 Q-snap to show how big this case it.  My mom and my sister also bought me a case for Christmas.  I think they will be awesome to store wips in.

I am almost done of this pattern page of Cars.  Hopefully I will get it done this week.

My boys!

Brayden helping shovel out the back of the truck.  He is such a good help and he is always doing something.  I don't think we shoveled off the front steps at all last winter, he was out there as soon as the snow stopped every time... some times even before the snow stopped.  I hope little brother enjoys helping as much as big brother does.

Happy Mail!

Here is what I got today from Because You Count :
A 7x7 piece of 28ct Cashel Linen in Echo for Trick or Treat Couple by The Frosted Pumpkin
2 spools of Kreinik#4 032 for Hannah Lynn
Thread Heaven
3 Skeins of Weeks Dye Works, 1 in Kohl and 2 in Cocoa
2 Skeins of The Gentle Art in Endive

The Kohl is for Halloween Spooky Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin and Cocoa and Endive are for Promise Me by Lizzie Kate.

I have started using the Kreinik while I was waiting for these picture to load.  The pattern says to use 2 strands, but I think that looks bad so I picked that out and am now just using 1 strand and it looks much, much better.  This is my first time using metallics so if anyone has any hints I would be forever grateful! :)

And here is some *small* progress on Beatrix Potter Bunnies.
My oldest just got home from school with his first ever homework.  He has to write his name out every night this week and return it at the end of the week and he had a MELTDOWN!  He doesn't like homework, he doesn't think he should have to do it, there was feet stomping and everything!  He even asked me if I would do his homework for him.  But the homework is now done and he lost tv privileges for the rest of the night.  So I hope I nipped that in the bud and tomorrow night it will be a quick write your name and we will move on with our day... fingers crossed.

UPDATE:  The boy just brought me in a worm and told me he found a baby snake in the dirt.  I guess all is well in the world again.... BOYS!!!

Stash Haul

I had a great time at Because You Count today.  The ladies there are the best!  Here is what I got today:

This is the fabric and thread for Promise Me by Lizzie Kate.  I got enough to do this pattern twice as I would like to do it for each of my boys.  The fabric is 32ct Lt Sand Belfast and the threads are from The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works, and they are the called for threads.

Next is a the Lizzie Kate Boxer that I submitted the quote for, "Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened"  I already had pattern and the fabric but I needed to buy the thread, which I did today.  They are all Weeks Dye Works and are the called for threads.

This is the fabric and some of the thread for the Halloween Spooky Sampler.  The fabric is 28ct Doubloon Cashel from Picture This Plus and the thread is from Weeks Dye Works.  All the other thread called for in the pattern is DMC so I either have that in my stash all ready or I will pick it up at Micheals.

And last is a some fabric for the Heaven and Earth Design "Hannah Lynn" that I am going to do for my niece.  I was very surprised at the size of this.  WOW! 16"x22.3" is what it will be when it is finished.  It is 22ct Beige Hardanger.

And my boys got a hair cut!  This is Brayden who got some gel with his cut.

And Thomas before...

And after!  This was his first hair cut and I really had a hard time saying bye to those curls, but let me tell you it sure was easy to wash tonight!

Thanks for reading and Happy Stitching!
