First line done on Promise Me

Hi!  I finished the first row on Promise Me by LizzieKate.  I love their patterns and this one is no different.  The thread colors they chose are gorgeous!  I am planning to stitch this one 3 times, twice for my own boys and then once more for a new niece or nephew we have coming in January.  And I think the third time I might pick out some Mo's or Fiberlicious threads I have in my stash.

Happy Stitching!

New start

Hello!  I am back after a weekend camping at Twin Shores.  If you are ever planning on doing some camping on Prince Edward Island, it is the place to go, we had a blast.  It is so nice to live in such a beautiful place that you don't even have to leave it to go on vacation.  :)

Since we were camping I figured it was as good a time as any for a new start so I started Promise Me by Lizzie*Kate.  My plan right now is to stitch this 3 times.  Twice for my own boys and once for a new nephew/niece that is due around January or February.  We will see how that goes :)

Here is my progress.  Not much for a whole weekend but we hardly stopped all weekend.
Here is the view from our campsite, the beach was just steps away so we spent a lot of time there.  I wish I would have gotten a better picture but it was pretty hazy all day yesterday.

I am happy to be home but can't wait to go back!!  Happy stitching everyone!

Day 75
 Day 76
Day 77 - And a full view of the whole thing while I move the Qsnaps.
Day 1 start of the Quote SAL on Cross Stitch, Its fun!!! facebook group.  Don't Cry Because It's Over by Lizzie Kate.
After I took the picture I noticed my E was a row too short so....

Day 71-74 on Hannah Lynn

Day 71
 Day 72
 Day 73
 Day 74
This seems to be slow going right now.  I would like to get a whole day to just sit and stitch this.

I have stumbled across some new designers that you should check out.  I think I may put some links in the side bar so check back as I plan to add more.

Paine Free Crafts - Same idea as Heaven and Earth, artwork that has been licensed and made into a cross stitch chart.  It is completely legal and the charts are gorgeous.

Eclectic Bloke Designs - Same as Paine Free Crafts - artwork into cross stitches.  Equally as gorgeous.

Sew sew n sew - I have a new love, I am counting off the stitches until I feel I have finished enough wips to start this pattern.  And that alphabet, and the 4 seasons, and, and, and....  I want all of them.

On this Cross stitch, It's Fun! facebook group there are Stitch-A-Longs all year long and this first one I am participating in starts this Friday and it is stitch a quote.  I will me stitching my winning LizzieKate "Don't cry because it is over, Smile because it happened"  I am super excited to start it.

Thanks for reading and Happy Stitching!!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas....

But I am pretty sure we aren't going to have one. :(  The weather person says +14 and major rainfall!  Not how I picture Christmas day but we will make do.

Here are my loves playing on their Daddy's phone.

My mom, sister and niece were over for a morning of Christmas baking and here is Elly "helping" her Nona.  Thomas was way to cool to be helping us bake... instead he was trying to sneak presents to his room to unwrap.

I received my last package from LizzieKate.  I am sad to see these come to an end but they were so generous with the prizes.  If you ever get a chance to enter a LizzieKate contest do it!  Click here to visit LizzieKate blog.  They are always showing new designs they are releasing and that is where I found out about the contest.

I have been stitching away on these Pitbulls for my nephew.  Wowzers there is major confetti happening!  But I am really happy with how it is looking!  I hope he will be too.

Happy Mail!

I had won and ebay auction last week so today I thought I would check the mail today in case it had arrived and I got a wonderful surprise when I found a package from Lizzie*Kate!  I received this because I had won a contest they had at the first of the year.  You had to submit quotes for them to use in their "Inspirational Boxer" series.  I submitted this one.  Lizzie*Kate picked 10 they liked and then those 10 were voted on and the top 3 became the new Inspirational Boxers.  For a prize we were able to chose $50 worth of charts and we receive the all the Boxers as they are released.

The next time they have a contest make sure you enter, they give out great prizes!

And this is the chart I won on ebay.  I have admired Lavender & Lace patterns for awhile now so when I seen this one I thought I would try my auction luck.  I paid $9.45 shipping included.  I guess that is good??

Stash Haul

I had a great time at Because You Count today.  The ladies there are the best!  Here is what I got today:

This is the fabric and thread for Promise Me by Lizzie Kate.  I got enough to do this pattern twice as I would like to do it for each of my boys.  The fabric is 32ct Lt Sand Belfast and the threads are from The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works, and they are the called for threads.

Next is a the Lizzie Kate Boxer that I submitted the quote for, "Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened"  I already had pattern and the fabric but I needed to buy the thread, which I did today.  They are all Weeks Dye Works and are the called for threads.

This is the fabric and some of the thread for the Halloween Spooky Sampler.  The fabric is 28ct Doubloon Cashel from Picture This Plus and the thread is from Weeks Dye Works.  All the other thread called for in the pattern is DMC so I either have that in my stash all ready or I will pick it up at Micheals.

And last is a some fabric for the Heaven and Earth Design "Hannah Lynn" that I am going to do for my niece.  I was very surprised at the size of this.  WOW! 16"x22.3" is what it will be when it is finished.  It is 22ct Beige Hardanger.

And my boys got a hair cut!  This is Brayden who got some gel with his cut.

And Thomas before...

And after!  This was his first hair cut and I really had a hard time saying bye to those curls, but let me tell you it sure was easy to wash tonight!

Thanks for reading and Happy Stitching!

My mom sews for the royals!... kinda

I was very happy to open my mailbox today!  I got the Lizzie*Kate boxer I submitted a saying for plus the Summer Basket Snippet chart, and the Weeks Dye Works and The Gentle Art threads for The Mysterious Halloween Town Club.  The first part of the Halloween Town Club doesn't come out until June 19th.  I don't know how I am going to be able to wait!

Below is a picture I got from Holland College's facebook page.   My mom, Donna Doiron, made the black cloth that Prince Charles is touching!  I am way more excited than she is and am imagining him going back to the Queen saying "I was just in P.E.I Mum, and I was unveiling a sign and the cloth that was covering the sign had such exquisite sewing, we need to get ahold of the woman who did the sewing and get her to make all the sign coverings we ever touch again!"  I am sure he is making someone hunt up her number right now.

Happy stitching!

Old Crow Framing

I just got "At Our House" by Lizzie*Kate from Old Crow Framing.  Go check them out on facebook.

This was my first every Lizzie*Kate design I ever stitched.  Sorry for the terrible picture but I just couldn't wait until the sun was out and I couldn't get this hung up quick enough.  I am so happy with the framing!  It is just perfect. Heather, the lady who framed this is the president of the needlework guild I just started going to and she made such a beautiful job.  Future repeat customer right here!  She also has a lovely blog you should go check out.

And here is my bed time snack:

My sister's hubby gave her lobster for mother's day and she was kind enough to share some with my mother and me.  She must really love me.  Haha.  Thanks little Sis.

I know this probably isn't the best bed time snack but it has been a long time since I had lobster and YOLO!  I can't believe I just wrote that!

Happy stitiching!

My Lizzie*Kate design

OK I know this isn't my design but this is the quote I submitted so it kinda is mine haha.  Isn't it beautiful!?!  I am in love and can't wait to stitch it.  I had to borrowed this picture from the Lizzie*Kate blog because I just couldn't wait until mine came in the mail to take my own picture.
