October TUSAL

Hello friends!

It is TUSAL time again!!  Life has been busy as usual.  My stitching guild has started up again for the year so it is nice to get out a few times a month to stitch with my friends.  Yesterday was Thanksgiving in Canada so Happy Thanksgiving to all!  Other than that just trying to get ready for winter.

And now here are my orts and my stitching buddy.

And now my wips!

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Deisgns.  My goal was 600 stitches and I did 902!  My goal is going to stay the same at 600.

Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  My goal was to finish this block and I am close but didn't manage.  New goal is to finish this block and half the next one.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to finish her arms and I am so so close!  And really I did finish all of her arms that I could on the page I am working on.  New goal is to finish the page I am stitching on right now.

Noel 2013 by Les Chalet Des Perelles.  My goal was to finish this and I didn't even put one stitch in on it.  My goal will remain the same to get this finished.

Frog Biscornu by Casey Buonaugurio.  My goal was to finish filling in this side and I am 2 dark pick petals away from that goal.  New goal will be finish filling in this side and make a good start on the next side.

And lastly my Draft Horses.  I had no goal on this one.  So any progress is great.  I added 354 stitches since last time and I don't think I will make a goal for this one since I don't know when I will haul it out again.

I earned a badge for completing 1000 stitches for the Mini Million Marathon in the Ultimate Cross Stitch Goup.  It was a 20 day event to try as a group to stitch 1,000,000 stitches.  We didn't quite manage but were very close with 981,127 stitches.  I ended with about 1800 stitches.

Yesterday I was taken out finished off the Dodgeball event in Semi Sane Stitchers on facebook.  It was so much fun and had some great teammates and competition.

Here are my boys waiting for the bus one pretty morning.

And this is what our morning are looking like lately.  Very cool and frosty!

And I guess that is if for me.

Hope you all are well!

Happy Stitching!

September TUSAL

Hi guys!!

TUSAL time came and went and all I managed was to get the picture!  I was working all last week and after a long day of lugging 50lb bags of feed I am too tired to do much of anything in the evenings.  Thankfully this week I am back to my normal schedule so I am hoping to get some things done around the house and some stitching too!

Here are my orts:

And here is what I stitched on this month:

Ping Panda by Brooke's Books.  My goal was to finish her and I did!

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was 600 stitches.  I did 406.  Not even close.  New goal will be 600 stitches.

Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  My goal was to finish the Sit For A Spell block and I did and even started on the next block!  New Goal - finish this block.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to start stitching her hair and I think the little bit of browns at the very top is her hair so yay!  New goal finish her arms.

Noel 2013 by Le Chalet Des Perelles.  My goal was to finish the house and I probably only managed about a third of it but I did finish the snowman and most of the tree on the right so still pretty happy with my progress.  New goal - finish this.

Frog Biscornu by Casey Buonaugurio Designs.  My goal was to finish filling in this side and that has been my goal for 2 months now but I still haven't managed to complete it.  New goal - finish filling in this side!

And that is all the stitching I did last month.  Now onto some life updates!

Both my boys are in school this year.  Here they are on the first day of kindergarten and grade 4.

We went on a little vacation at the end of the summer to attend a wedding and here we are on the ferry to the mainland.  There are three ways off our little island, the ferry, the Confederation bridge and by plane.  I have never left by plane but have used the other 2 ways many times but the ferry is my favorite.

I recently joined a new stitching group on facebook called The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group (click the link and come join us!) and every time you complete an event they give you a badge so I thought I would start posting the badges I earn here.  I earned this badge by stitching 1000 stitches during the first week of school.

And well that is it for me this month.

Hope you are all doing well and stitching as much as your heart desires.

Thanks for stopping by!

August TUSAL

Hello friends!!

TUSAL time is here again!  My little jar is pretty empty again this month.  The kiddos start back to school in a few weeks so next month my jar should be fuller as I will have lots more free time!

Ping Panda by Brooke's Books.  My goal was to finish her.  That didn't happen but I'm not too far away.  New goal - finish her.

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was 700 stitches.  I did 520.5.  New goal - 600 stitches.

Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  My goal was to finish this block.  I added "for a".  Fail!  New goal - Finish this block.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to stitch her arms and I have stitched one arm so half a check mark on this one!  New goal - start stitching her hair.

Noel 2013 by Le Chalet des Perelles.  My goal was to finish the tree on the left and the border.  I think I am about 20 stitches away from completing the border.  So close!  New goal - stitch the house.

Frog Biscornu by Casey Buonaugurio Designs.  My goal was to finish filling in this side but I didn't make it very far at all.  New goal - Finish filling this side in.

Draft Horses.  I had no goal for this one but added 356 stitches so I am quite happy with that.  New goal - no plans to stitch on this any time soon but would like to manage 200 stitches on it by next month.

And that is it for me this month guys!

Hope you are all able to stay cool where ever you are.  We are apparently under a "heat dome" in eastern Canada and have been for about a month now but it looks like tomorrow is the last day!  I am so excited I can't even tell you.  It has been so hot and humid here for far too long and I am looking forward to some cooler weather!

Happy stitching!

July TUSAL

Happy July!!!

How has everyone's summer been going?
As is everywhere, here on PEI we are cooking!  Higher than normal temperatures but we are surviving.

Now onto the orts!

Sad, pretty much empty jar this month.  But better than completely empty right?!

Now lets see how I did on my goals -

Ping Panda by Brooke's Books.  My goal was to finish the border and all the white stitches.  I did finish the border and about half the white stitches.  So close!  New goal - Finish this.

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was 500 stitches and I did 762.5!  Woohoo!  New goal - 700 stitches.

Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  My goal was to finish the Mind Your Mummy block, which is finished except for the button eyes which I will add after all the stitching is complete and to finish half the next block which I did not do.  New goal - Finish this block.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to finish the page I was working on and I did!  New goal - stitch her arms.

Spring Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery.  My goal was to finish the next block but I didn't stitch on it at all so it remained the same.  New goal - it isn't in my rotation this month so no goal.

Friendship Grows by LizzieKate.  My goal was to finish it and I did!

Noel 2013 by Le Chalet des Perelles.  My goal was to finish the snow across the bottom and while there still is more snow to stitch I made it to the row that started to have missing stitches and not be a complete row of white.  So I am going to call that a completed goal!  New goal - Stitch the border and the tree on the left.

Frog Biscornu by Casey Buonaugurio.  This was a new start this month.  I finished the borders for both sides and now I am starting to fill in the insides.  New goal - Fill in one side.

And that is it guys!  Now back to laundry and hopefully a couple more stitches before bed.

Happy Stitching!

June TUSAL

Hello friends!

I have been busy, busy since last month.  I finished up my old job and have since started a new job!  Now I work at a feed store, mostly farm animal feed but some pet feed too.  And actually we call ourselves a "Farm Service" store so there really is all kinds of farm stuff we sell.  I just finished my training today so I will only be working about 12 hours a week from now on, so more stitching time!

Now onto my orts:  My jar isn't very full but I am glad there is at least something in it.

Now onto the stitching!

Ping Panda by Brooke's Books.  My goal was to have this finished and sadly it didn't make it.  New goal finish the border and all the white stitches.

Hannah Lynn by Heaven and Earth Designs.  My goal was 700 stitches.  I did 193.5.  Pitiful.  New goal 500 stitches.

Halloween Rules by LizzieKate.  My goal was to finish "Stay up Late" and to finish half the next block and I would say that I did that.  New goal is to finish "Mind Your Mummy" and get half the next block finished.

Deepest Love by Mirabilia.  My goal was to finish the page I was working on and I did not do that but I am a little bit closer.  My goal will stay the same, finish that page.

Spring Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin.  My goal was to finish the "Quack" block and the next one.  Didn't happen.  New goal finish the next block.

Friendship Grows by LizzieKate.  This was a new start and my goal was to finish it and I am very close.  Only have to finish the wording.  My goal to finish it will remain the same.

Work Horses.  My goal was to add as many stitches as I could for a one day SAL and I added 191.  Quite happy with that.  I'm not sure when I will work on this one again so no goal for it next month.

Crazy Socks by Rosewood Manor.  My goal was to finish the first sock and I am close but didn't get it finished.  Not sure when I will work on this again so no new goal.

Noel 2013 by Le Chalet Des Perelles was a new start.  A very small new start.  My goal for next time is to finish the snow across the bottom.  There is a lot of it!

And that is it.  I am currently participating in a Choose My Wip SAL so I will only be working on 4 wips the month of June, one each week.  But I should be back to normal rotation in July.

Hope everything is swell in your neck of the woods!

Happy Stitching!
