February TUSAL

Hi there!

Today is TUSAL day.  Here are my orts. 

I only had a few minutes to stitch on Hannah Lynn.  I may have put in 20 stitches so not much change from the last time I showed it.

We are attempting potty training.  I started training Brayden on the day he turned 2, I thought it would be simple and he would be trained in a few weeks at the most.  Wrong, he was almost 4 before we were done with it.  So with Thomas I decided I would wait until he showed signs of being ready.  So this last week or so he started telling me when he was wet and wanting to be changed so I thought now's the time.  The first day went awesome, I thought we had it made.  That was 5 days ago and yesterday I asked him if he wanted to use the bathroom and he yells at me "No!  Me no pee anymore!"  And I said "You are not going to pee ever again?"  And he yells back "No more pee!!!"  So I have decided to just leave that alone for a couple days.  I never thought a 2 year old would get the best of me but here we are.

Too close for comfort

Hiya friends!

Well it was nothing short of a miracle but I managed to finish off Promise Me.  The last stitch went in about 11:45am , I hoped in the shower then headed to my mom's for her to make it into a wall hanging.  Headed back home to pick up the boys and made it to the baby shower almost on time.  I want to say lesson learned but I know I will do the same procrastinating next time.

While my mom was sewing the wall hanging part of the operation I kept thinking I should be taking pictures, but I knew if I hauled my camera out while my mother was rushing to get it done I may have had to sew it myself so no pictures of the process.  I also forgot to take a picture before I put it in the bag so I am hoping my sister in law will send me a picture so I can share it with you all. It really turned out sweet.

Thank you all for your nice words of encouragement!  I really needed them around 1:00am last night when I was ready to say I wasn't going to get it done in time.

I am about at the half way mark.  The "u" in you'll is the halfway point and I am feeling pretty confidant that I will be able to get this finished in time for the baby shower on Sunday.

A good start

Hiya!

I made a good start yesterday on Promise Me.  I am feeling pretty good that I will be able to have this all stitched and completely finished for Sunday at 1:30pm.  I am sure I will be using every single moment up until 1:30pm to get this finished but I am going to do it!  My mother calls me strong-willed.

Change of plans

Hello friends!

So....

My rotation is out the window for this week.  I really do plan to get back on it next week but I just found out yesterday that my new nephew's baby shower is Sunday and I hadn't even started his cross stitch!!  But it is started now and fingers crossed it will be done for Sunday.  

I would show you a picture but my camera died and is now charging so that will have to wait until tomorrow.  But in the mean time I will show you again the 2 that I made for my boys for Christmas.  I will be stitching this exact pattern for the third and final time.  I already have Promise, you're, and the flower stem started.

Nine Ladies Dancing

Hello friends!

I finished off the Ninth Day yesterday.  Those ladies were almost fun to stitch by the end of them... but I was quite happy to have them done.

And here is the whole thing.

So I had a few minutes at the end of the day to pick up Hannah Lynn.  I just put those few black stitches in at the bottom.

We are getting ready to head out to the movies today, Brayden has the day off of school for Turn Around Day/Middle of the School Year Day.  Hard to believe the school year is half over!!  We are going to see Kung Fu Panda 3 so I will let you all know how it is tomorrow.

Last day of January stitching

Hello!

Yesterday I worked on Little Wings a bit more.  I filled in some green at the very bottom and started on the pink bow in the middle.

I have decided that I love working on this and I am just going to keep going until I have a page finish.  Then I may switch to my Mirabilia.
