Block 9 is finished!

Hello everyone!

First I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who said a little prayer or sent a thought to my father.  I am happy to say he is on the mend and recovering very well from his surgery.

Second is I have finished block 9 on Save The Stitches!

Here is the whole project so far.  Excuse the wrinkles, I have yet to invest in an iron after I gave mine to my mom.

I hope you all are well and getting lots of stitching in!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hiya pals!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

I had the most wonderful day ever.  We went on a little road trip yesterday to visit my father and he is doing so good after his surgery.  I was quite surprised at how healthy he looked.  My boys gave me some red roses and Brayden wrote me the sweetest letter about how he loves my for my cooking.  It was a perfect day!

Now on to the stitching!

I thought I better show what my ABC Christmas by LizzieKate looks like as a whole.  I have never stitched a project where I jumped around like this but it is kinda fun to stitch it this way.

I filled in two more patterns on Save The Stitches by Elizabeth Almond.  I think another day should finish this block up.

And I am kinda obsessed with this right now.  Mothers and Daughters by The Victoria Sampler.  It stitches up really fast and is so pretty.  I can't wait to give it to my Mama!

Well I am off to bed, nothing like 3 hours in the car to make you sleepy.

I hope you all had a lovely day and thanks for stopping by for the visit!

Happy Stitching!

Another Save The Stitches block finished

Hiya!

I finished block 8 of Save The Stitches.  I really should stitch on this more, I can't wait until it is finished!

I almost finished the little lamb on The Gift by Blackberry Lane.  This one should go much faster now, all the tedious parts are over.

It is foggy and wet here today...I am ready for summer sun and warm days.  They can't come soon enough!

A page finish!

Hello there!

I have a page finish this week!  Below is page 12 finished on Beatrix Potter Bunnies.

And here is what it looks like so far.  I am so in love with it and I really can't wait to have it hanging on my wall.

So since I put my bunnies away for a bit the next up in line is Save The Stitches,  The patterns on this block seem fairly simple so I am hoping they go smoothly.

I hope you are all having some lovely stitchy time!

Thanks for stopping by!

Save the Stitches Block 6

Hello stitchy people!

I made a good start on block 6 of Save the Stitches.  The pattern I have filled in near did me in!  It has been the most complicated pattern yet.  Thankfully the other 3 patterns in this block are pretty simple.

The boys were outside playing yesterday and Brayden came in quite upset because Thomas had splashed mud in his face and when I went out to get Thomas he was rolling in a mud puddle!  Even his hat had mud on it.  I will never understand boys... never ever :)

I also spilled my coffee into my basket of clean clothes this morning so my washing machine is getting a real workout today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Save the Stitches part 4

I have been working on Save the Stitches for the St. Patrick's Day SAL with the Cross Stitch, Its fun!!! group but I need a break.  I find stitching this really draining on my brain.  I can't just take a quick glance at the pattern then stitch it up, I need to keep checking the pattern to make sure I am on the right track.  But.... I love it!  It is so beautiful and while it is something you really need to pay attention to it does go fairly quickly.

Here are some close-ups.

Last week at our stitching group we made Temari Balls.  I am amazed at how talented this group of people are, and I am just so thankful that I found them and they are willing to teach me all these things.

For the first time our ball were already wrapped with the underneath thread (the white thread) and we learned how to wrap everything on top (the green, gold and white).  We are going to make another one next month.  Click here to see more Temari Balls.

And yes that does look snowy in the picture above as we have had another storm today with another 50cm of snow.  Ugh!!  I am done with winter.

Happy Stitching!!  :)

Block 3 is done!

I am pretty sure I will be sick of green by the end of this.

I don't know why this shade is showing up so neon, it is really more of a pale green.

Block 2

I am so happy with how this is turning out.  Block 3 will complete the top so I think I will stitch it before I put this away for a bit.

Sorry for the cruddy pictures :(  the lens on my camera is scratched and sometimes the pictures turn out ok and then the next they are kinda fuzzy.  So until I get a new camera we will just have to deal.  :)
