My baby is 7!!

Here is my boy last night at the exhibition, way up high on the Ferris Wheel, holding on for dear life.  I don't know how 7 snuck up on me so quick but it is here already.

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy who cried himself to sleep last night because it was his last night being 6.  My sweet boy who would rather be checking his chickens or watering his garden than playing video games.  If only you would stay this little forever!

And little cross stitch for those of you who come here for that :)  I stitched a little more on Hannah Lynn, little being the key word.

Last day of grade 1!

Hello stitchy friends!

My Joyful World January is almost finished, just need to finish the crow and some more dark green.  Another day should finish it up.

Today is the last day of school for Brayden.  He is pretty pumped to have the summer off.  I am so proud of how hard he worked this year and I am just amazed at how much a 6 year old can learn in one year!

Cottage Trio is at the halfway mark!

Hello!

It is a beautiful spring day here on Prince Edward Island and I am ready for some warm weather!  Yesterday though they were calling for snow, yuck!

Cottage trio had a turn yesterday.  This is what it looked like last time I showed it.

And this is what is looks like now.  I finished the bottom section, backstitching and all.  All that is left is the cottage and the big tree over the top.  I can say with about 100% certainty that I will never stitch another pattern that is hand drawn with fractional stitches.  Bravo to all of you that don't mind stitching patterns like that!!

Big day yesterday at our house!  Brayden lost his first tooth!!  I am pretty sure I could enter him in The Guinness Book of World Records for longest loose tooth to fall out. Ha!

Happy Birthday Brayden!!

Well everybody, I am officially a mom to a 6 year old!!!  How did that happen?!?  And in 2 weeks or so he will be back to school and starting grade 1!  I don't know why time has to go so fast.  :(

But we sure are lucky that we got the best of the best with our Brayden!  He is just the sweetest, most helpful boy there is!  For his birthday day we dropped off a load of wood at his Nona's (my mom) house, which is one of his most favorite things to do, he would spend all day piling wood if I let him.  Then he played with one of the neighbors for a bit and then we ended the day at Dairy Queen for a blizzard for Miracle Treat Day and then to Walmart for a new bike!  He was some proud driving that bike to the checkout!!  I don't think I am going to be able to keep him away from the bike until his party on Saturday!
