My exact feelings

A couple days ago Coni from The Spinster Stitcher posted this artwork from Sam Toft and it sums up perfectly the loss I feel from losing our beloved dog Micah.

The verse at the bottom reads:
There is a hole in my heart where you use to be. I`m a boat out of water, a fish lost at sea. A wild windy forest with no favourite tree & a hole in my heart where you use to be.

  1. Unfortunately, I know that feeling and it's probably the worst I've ever felt. The pain gets better, but I think the emptiness sometimes gets worse.

  2. I too unfortunately know the feeling as well. The pain does ease off after a while but it is still there. The little things they use to do for you, a nudge of the hand, the head laying on your lap, the tail wagging when they greet you at the door are the good memories you should keep close to your heart. I'm crying right now for you and my own loss of our fur babies. Keep the good memories close , they are always always with you. much love and hugs my stitching friend xxxx

    1. Thank you Christie, it is those little things right now that I miss the most, hearing her toenails click up the hall, her head peaking out the window as we drove in the drive way and mostly her coming to greet us at the door. Thank you for your kind words <3 Love and hugs to you too!
