Little Wings day

Hiya!

Another day down on Little Wings and many more to go.  

We had a new nephew born yesterday and I can't wait to meet him today!  I guess I better get started on his cross stitch.  Not sure where it is going to fit into my rotation right now but I think I have some time before his baby shower to get it ready.

Hello again!

I stitched some more on Katie Kitty and I think one more day and I should have her done.

She is rather creepy with no eyes isn't she?

I have saved all the backstitching for the end which is not my normal as I hate backstitching so I try to do it as soon as I possibly can to get it out of the way, but this pattern has a long list of backstitching instructions for such a little design.  So I decided to do it all at once so I don't mess it up.

Hopefully next time you see her she will be complete.

Tuesday evenings are my favorite!

Hello friends!

Yesterday was Little Wings turn again after a touch of frogging the rest of the day went quite well.

Our stitching group had our first stitching evening last night of the new year and it was so much fun!  I really enjoy my time with these people and they are such talented stitchers and we always have lots of laughs when we get together.

Today I was dyeing some fabric for another new project.  Hopefully I will be able to show you all in a few days what I am planning to start.

I managed to finish a whole column yesterday on Pitbulls.  Only one more column to go and page 4 will be finished.

Katie Kitty

Hiya!

Today I started Brooke's Books Advent Animals.  These are free patterns so that is a bonus.

Below is the start of Katie Kitty.

And this is my day 1 progress on Little Wings.  I made a trip to Micheals today and picked up the rest of the floss I was missing so tomorrow I should be able to fill some of those holes in.

I have decided since I am participating in so many SALs this year that I am going to have to set up some sort of rotation.  I have shied away from rotations before because I didn't think I would enjoy stitching like that.  But 2 days in and so far so good.  My plan is to stitch on Little Wings every other day and the other days rotate Katie Kitty and Pitbulls.  Once Katie Kitty is done I will put something else in her place.  I think it is very doable as long as I remember to switch each morning.

New Year's Eve stitching

Happy New Year!!

I spent New Year's Eve stitching and it was grand.  Everyone at my house was asleep by 10:30 so I watched some tv and welcomed 2016 with my stitching.

These were my last stitches of 2015.  At 11:59 I put 12 Days of Christmas away.

And by 12:01 I was putting the first stitches in on Little Wings by Lavender and Lace.  I have never started a new project on New Year's Day before but I think this will be a tradition I will do again.
