Coming close to the end

Hello stitchy friends!

Titania is getting close to being finished!  I am kinda sad to think she will be done soon but I am so excited to think about starting my next Mirabilia...but I think I will take a little break before I start another one.

Here she is while I was moving the Qsnap.

This is the section I am working on now.  Just need to finish the tops of her wings, slap some beads on her and call her done.

And my friends the June Bugs are out now so no more late night outings for this girl.  Tonight was stitching guild night and I didn't get home until it was almost dark out.  Luckily my nephew left his sweater in my van and I was able to wrap it around my head while I very slowly crept up the front stairs, then manically tried to unlock the door.  I am happy to tell you all that the June Bugs didn't get me tonight!  Are there June Bugs where you guys live?  If not I may be you new neighbor soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Slacking!

Hi stitchy friends!

I have been pretty slack in the stitching department lately.  Now that both boys are older and we are able to spend more time outside and longer periods of time outside, my stitching is suffering.  But we sure are having fun!

The chicken coop is nearing completion.  And it needs to be finished as the baby chicks are coming on Friday!  I am pretty sure Brayden has told everyone he knows when they are arriving.  He is very excited!

We also went to my nephew's first birthday party this past weekend.  There isn't much cuter than a 1 year old eating cake, he was a mess!

Yesterday was a bit quieter and I managed to finish the reindeer and the bottom border on Yuletide by Plum Street Samplers.

I hope you all are getting more stitching done than I am!

The camera has been found!

Hello friends!

Thomas came to me today holding my camera.  I have no idea where it has been hiding these past couple days but I know I will make sure I have it hidden from now on.

Here is Titania's face I was telling you all about.  I am very happy with how the 1 over 1 skin turned out.  I really wasn't sure I could pull that off.

Since I finished the cottage I pulled out the 12 Days of Christmas freebie by Plum Street Samplers.  I love everything about this piece and will definitely be checking out more Plum Street patterns!

Thanks for stopping by!

Titania has a face!

And I wish I could show you all a picture but my camera has mysteriously gone missing.  Brayden says he knows nothing about it and Thomas says he did have it but it was me that hid it.... umm great.

So as soon as the camera makes it's return I will share a picture.

Happy Stitching!

The little cottage that could

Hello friends!!

Another day down on Cottage Trio and it is so close to being finished!  Just need to stitch the big tree at the top and call it a day.

We have some new additions coming to our house in the next couple weeks, we are getting 30 chickens!  Brayden is very excited and by Christmas time we should be eating our own eggs.  So as you can imagine all the talking we do right now is about chickens and how they lay eggs and such.  Well at breakfast the other morning Brayden says he thinks we should get a pig that lays bacon.  If only they did!

Thanks for stopping by!

May TUSAL

Hi, just me again!

I forgot TUSAL for the third month in a row!  My memory is going!

I thought it would be nice to show my projects along with my orts.

So for this month I worked on Cottage Trio by Janlynn.

I finished Duncan Dog from Brooke's Books

I finished Merry Christmas by Country Cottage Needleworks, which is from a Just Cross Stitch Christmas magazine.

And Titania from Mirabilia.

See you all next month!

Retreat weekend is over for another year :(

Hello my friends!

Happy belated Mother's Day!

I spent this past weekend with my stitching guild at our annual retreat.  We had a ball!  But I am still recovering today from all the excitement.

In between charades, laughing and munching I managed to put a few stitches in on Titania.  I just need to finish her face and the tops of her wings and I will be onto the beading!

I also made a couple new starts.  This one is for the Christmas Ornie SAL Blog for this month.  It is Yuletide by Plum Street Samplers from the 2011 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Special.

My other new start is Hattie Hedgehog by Brooke's Books which is day 5 of the Advent Animals series.  I put in a whole day on her at the retreat so she is almost finished.

I also made a few purchases from Because You Count.  They are a needlework shop from Moncton NB and they come over every year with a few things and they set up a little shop for us.

All in all we had a wonderful weekend and I can't wait for next year!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends too!

Happy Stitching!
