Almost done

Hiya!

I love the colors on this one.  All I have left is the bottom border.  Hopefully tomorrow will finish it up.

Just waiting on the roofers

Hello friends!!

Yesterday was Cottage Trio day and it is getting close to being finished! I really wasn't sure we would ever see that day.  All that is left is the roof and the big tree on the right.

I have also been working away on Titania but there usually isn't much to show, over 1 stitching doesn't make much progress each day.

Last night was stitching guild night and we all went out for supper together before the meeting and we had a lovely time!  I really needed the night out because I am trying to potty train Thomas.  It is not going well.  It wasn't easy with Brayden either.  I am so jealous of those kids who just train themselves.  Thomas has told me today that he doesn't want to pee in the toilet anymore and just wants to pee in his diaper.  Perfect.  We have gone through at least 5 pairs of underwear and pants today and now he is in a diaper because we ran out of clean underwear.  I think we will just leave the potty training alone right now and try again next month.  Wish me luck, I know I am going to need all I can get! Ha!

Finish #8

Duncan Dog by Brooke's Books
Part of the Advent Animal Freebies
Started April 6, 2016
Finished April 9,2016
Stitched on unknown Aida
Fibers used - DMC
First time I ever added anything to my stitching with that little bow on the bone.  I love how it turned out!

And here is my collection so far.  I am really liking how they are all different sizes and I think they will look great hanging on the tree.

New start

Hello friends!

I finally started my Christmas ornament for the Christmas Ornie SAL for this month.  I have been enjoying stitching on Titania so much that I had a hard time making myself stitching anything else.

This is Merry Christmas by Country Cottage Needleworks from the 2011 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Issue.

My sister-in-law and I have decided to start walking and today was the first day.  There are beautiful trails all over PEI that used to be railroad tracks but are now walking trails in the summer and snowmobile trails in the winter.  She has a 3 month old and I have Mr Thomas so we packed up the strollers and away we went.  We just walked with no real plan as to how far and how long we would go and in the end we walked about 5 kms.  I am pretty sure I will not be able to move tomorrow.  Good excuse to stitch the day away!

Cottage Trio is at the halfway mark!

Hello!

It is a beautiful spring day here on Prince Edward Island and I am ready for some warm weather!  Yesterday though they were calling for snow, yuck!

Cottage trio had a turn yesterday.  This is what it looked like last time I showed it.

And this is what is looks like now.  I finished the bottom section, backstitching and all.  All that is left is the cottage and the big tree over the top.  I can say with about 100% certainty that I will never stitch another pattern that is hand drawn with fractional stitches.  Bravo to all of you that don't mind stitching patterns like that!!

Big day yesterday at our house!  Brayden lost his first tooth!!  I am pretty sure I could enter him in The Guinness Book of World Records for longest loose tooth to fall out. Ha!

Titania update

Hello friends!

I haven't stitched much this past week because I have been helping my brother-in-law and sister-in-law move.  I plan to make up for it this week though!

This is where I was last you saw Titania.

And here is where she is now.  I am really happy with how her 1 over 1 skin is looking.  Now I am itching to put some beads on but I am going to try to hold off until all the stitching is done.

Sweet Tooth is an FFO

Hiya!

I finally finished off Sweet Tooth which was a limited edition pattern from The Frosted Pumpkin. My mom made it into a pillow and today I added the bakers twine for a hanger.  Now if my boy would just pop that tooth out we could use it for a Tooth Fairy pillow.

I have been getting some stitching in on Titania too and I am mainly focusing on her left wing and left arm.  Slow and steady.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

TUSAL Time!

Hello again!

Today is TUSAL day.  Here are my orts for the month and I think I must have done more stitching than I remember because there seems to be a lot in there then there should be.

Duncan the headless dog

Hiya!

I have started #4 from the Brooke's Books Advent Animals freebies.  Duncan the Dog is a dapper little fellow and it was fun to add the bow to his bone.  Hopefully today will finish him up.

Brayden had 4H last night and his group was learning about worms and dirt and he brought home a worm farm... that is going to live in my kitchen...yep.

It is 2 coffee cups for drainage with wet newspaper on the top and some compost items like carrot peelings next and then I have no idea because I was not sticking my fingers in there to find out.  We are supposed to keep it damp and add some more compost items every once and awhile.  I am hoping when we plant the garden that I am able to talk Brayden into letting them go free.  Wish me luck!

Rotation Khristine! Rotation!

Hello friends!

I have gotten way off track with my rotation.  Which isn't a big deal but now that it is April I have a couple SAL stitches that I have to get out of the way so I need to get back to a rotation again.

I hope to finish up Cottage Trio this month. It is coming a long really well and I am actually enjoying it now that most of the half stitches are behind me.  Those yellow flowers (daffodils?) were a chore!

Titania is still so much fun to stitch.  I am already looking forward to starting my next Mirabilia.

Brayden being Brayden with a sticker mustache and a bubble gun.  What a boy!
