Little Wings Day 38

Hello again!

Yesterday I filled in some of the sleeve and some more of the pink bow on Little Wings.  As I have been stitching this I have been thinking a lot of how much work went into designing this pattern and how skillful you have to be to design something so intricate.  It is amazing really to think about.

We are quite hot and humid here today.  It is calling for rain so hopefully that will clear the air some.

Last day of grade 1!

Hello stitchy friends!

My Joyful World January is almost finished, just need to finish the crow and some more dark green.  Another day should finish it up.

Today is the last day of school for Brayden.  He is pretty pumped to have the summer off.  I am so proud of how hard he worked this year and I am just amazed at how much a 6 year old can learn in one year!

End of year gift for a wonderful teacher

Hello friends!

I thought I would share the end of year gift I made for Brayden's teacher.  His teacher this year was the best.  She is a friend of the family on both mine and Brayden's dad's side so it was extra nice to have some one we know.

I got the idea for this gift over at A Turtles's Life For Me and I am only a very beginner scrapbooker but I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.  These pictures are before Brayden added his writing.

On the front it now says "What will Mrs.... do this summer?"

"Eat some ice cream"

"See a movie"

This one is from Indigo.  "Read a book"

"Drink some coffee"

I have also been getting some stitching done on Little Wings

I seem to have a thing for eyeless animals...

Hello friends!

Once again I have an eyeless animal.  I wonder what that says about me??

I finally feel like I made some progress on this one, which is the Joyful World freebie by The Snowflower Diaries.  I finished all the light green and the orange, added a few of the white flowers, which do show up better in real life.  I had to use the flash because my house is getting so hot on these beautiful days that I am keeping the curtains closed in the mornings to keep the heat out.  And I started adding the darker green.

I hope you all are making lots of progress on your projects!

Another beautiful day!

Hello lovelies!

I had a little more of a productive day yesterday.  I even managed to get a walk in!  Today I have my niece who is the same age as Thomas so well so I may be a little less productive today.  Earlier they were playing on the Ipod listening to all the different alarm sounds and laughing like crazy.  Oh the joys of being 3!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Warm days and cold ice tea

Hello dear friends!

The weather here on lil'ole PEI has been absolutely perfect these last few days, +20-25 degrees, sun, a nice breeze.  So we have been outside most of the time.  Needless to say my stitching has been pretty slack but there has been some progress.

Little Wings is my main focus and I stitch on it every second day.  I really didn't think I would like stitching these fancy ladies but I do.  All I can think of is starting my next Mirabilia!  I am tumbling down a deep hole and I don't want to be saved!

Here is Little Wings last time you saw it.

And here is the tiny progress I have made.

Stitching Day 33 on Little Wings

Hiya!

It was Little Wings day again yesterday and I filled in a lot of green in the middle.  I am almost to her hand and I am pretty sure I am going to stitch her skin 1 over 1 like I did on Titania.

I have my niece today and she just informed me that she "needs" to go outside so I guess that is where we are headed.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Light green eyelets. Check!

Hello lovelies!

Yesterday ended up being a pretty slack day in the stitching department.  I was looking after my 1 year old nephew so he kept me pretty busy.  And Brayden had a little concert at school, which was so cute, so we were pretty busy all day.

I did manage to finish the light green eyelets on the Joyful World freebie and add some more to the vine.

Hope you all had a more productive day than I had!

The return of Little Wings

Hi there!

Since Titania is all finished I was able to get Little Wings back into the rotation.  I am really enjoying working on it again.

This is what it looked like last time you all saw it.

And this is where I am at now.

Creepy Camel

Hello friends!

Yesterday I stitched a little on Cashmere Camel.  She is a little scary looking without her eyes!

And here is my littlest sweetie pie.  He told me to take a picture of his toes.  And that hammer in his hand, his new favorite thing.  He has been going around the house "fixing" everything, walls, windows, my ankle.  Never a dull moment when he is around!

Stitching complete!

Well hello there!

Yesterday I finished all the stitching on Titania.  What a wonderful feeling that was!

These are the last picture you all will see of her until her beads are complete.  I am about halfway up one wing so far and I am loving beading but the beading needle and I are having a hard time getting used to each other.  It seems to have a mind of it's own and most of the time it wants to be stuck in my finger.

Well I am off to Game of Thrones trivia with some friends.  Do any of you watch it?  If not I think it is super and everyone should watch it :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day today!

A little bit of progress

Hello friends!

Yesterday I worked on the Joyful World freebie from The Snowflower Diaries.  I have had my 1 year old nephew for the last few days so I haven't been doing much stitching.

Today I am finishing up the last little bit of stitching on Titania and then, once the baby leaves I hope, fingers crossed!, that I can add some beads!  Eeeeek!  I am so excited!

Hope you all are having a lovely day!

Happy stitching!

TUSAL, another start and a kinda finish

Well friends, it is that time again, TUSAL time!

Here are my orts for the month.  Somehow I remembered TUSAL myself this month *big ole pat on the back*.  (I didn't remember until the day was almost over but I will take it)

And this was my new start today.  Winter Squirrel by The Victoria Sampler from the 2011 Just Cross Stitch Christmas Issue.  It will be my ornament for the Christmas Ornie SAL this month.  I finished all the stitching, I just need to find a bead and some little red buttons to go in between the greenery.
