March TUSAL

Hello all!!  Here is my March TUSAL.  I think I had a pretty good month stitching.

Today is also my littlest's birthday.  Happy 2nd Birthday Thomas!  You are one sweet little boy who always keeps us on our toes!
I also have a new start.  Dream Big from Stitchrovia on etsy.
I am using Mo's Sale cotton floss.  The moon is Eugene and the swirly part is Hades.  And I am stitching on 28ct white evenweave.  I am going to make this into a birth sampler and the baby will be here in a couple of months so I better get a move on :)
Happy stitching!!  I better go get ready for a birthday party!

Save the Stitches part 4

I have been working on Save the Stitches for the St. Patrick's Day SAL with the Cross Stitch, Its fun!!! group but I need a break.  I find stitching this really draining on my brain.  I can't just take a quick glance at the pattern then stitch it up, I need to keep checking the pattern to make sure I am on the right track.  But.... I love it!  It is so beautiful and while it is something you really need to pay attention to it does go fairly quickly.

Here are some close-ups.

Last week at our stitching group we made Temari Balls.  I am amazed at how talented this group of people are, and I am just so thankful that I found them and they are willing to teach me all these things.

For the first time our ball were already wrapped with the underneath thread (the white thread) and we learned how to wrap everything on top (the green, gold and white).  We are going to make another one next month.  Click here to see more Temari Balls.

And yes that does look snowy in the picture above as we have had another storm today with another 50cm of snow.  Ugh!!  I am done with winter.

Happy Stitching!!  :)

Who knew?

First off, a big thank you to Judith from Mrs Xstitch (go check her blog out, she does the most beautiful stitching and finishing!)  for letting me know that only people with a google+ account could comment on my blog.  A couple of months ago blogger asked me if I wanted to link all my accounts, so I did not knowing that google+ would take over.  I have switched it back but I lost all the comments I had from the last few months.  :(

The Sampler SAL is over now and we are onto the St. Patrick's Day SAL on Cross Stitch, Its fun!!! facebook group.   For the St. Patrick's Day SAL I am going to work on Save The Stitches since it is green :)

Attempt #1 at taking a picture...

I talked my helper into letting me get a picture and to not drive his trains all over my stitching.  So this is where I am stopping until I get it back out for the Halloween SAL.

Happy Stitching!  :)

Sampler SAL update

I am really enjoying stitching this.  The colors are just so much fun!  I would really like to finish this as a pillow but with 2 small boys it would either end up as a weapon or spend the majority of the time on the floor and then the dog would claim it.  Not happening!

If you would like to join in on some of these SAL's go join the facebook group Cross Stitch, its fun!!!

Thanks for reading!  Happy Stitching :)

Sampler Stitch-A-Long

I started The Halloween Spooky Sampler from The Frosted Pumpkin awhile back but I guess I didn't share a picture because I really hadn't done too much, but decided to use it for the Sampler Stitch-A-Long on the facebook group Cross Stitch, It's fun!!! .  But this border.... Ugh!  I will be so proud of myself when it is done.  I was planning to finish it before I start stitching the insides but that is not going to happen.

And I love Mr. Skullface there on the side :)

Thank you everyone for the comments, I so enjoy reading them!
