And my wonderful Mama finished my Halloween Spooky Sampler as a pillow for me. I wish it was Halloween now so I could have it out. Oh well it is on display in my craft room. I am thinking some black tassels on the the corners might be cute so this may not be the last you all see of this one.
I am back on my rotation. All is well in my world again.
Since the last time you saw Little Wings I added most of the dark green section in the middle.
Thomas and I went for a coffee date with my sister-in-law and my new nephew today at McDonalds. I thought it would be the best place to take Thomas as he could play in the play room while we chatted. It was wonderful, we had the whole room to ourselves for an hour and then only a few people came in and Thomas played with all the kids. Tonight as we were getting ready for bed he said to me "I want go play with my friends again." And the best part was it was free besides my $2 caramel iced coffee which was delicious!
I also finally finish finished Joy To The World. I used buttons to attach the ribbon.
I also put some backing on it. My mama gave me the idea to use Christmas cards. I really like it! I knew I was saving all those old Christmas cards for something! Being a pack rat pays off now and then!
Well that is it for me today. I just got home a bit ago from stitch night, a great time as always. We started discussing our retreat which is in May! So exciting!!
One last thing. Does anyone talk like this where you live??
I honestly can't tell you how many time someone has asked me "who my fadder was?"
I think I have royally messed up the photo placement here but we are just going to go with it. I have been under the weather all day today and moving these pictures around is way over my head right now. The one on the right is before and on the left is after. I forgot what parts I had stitched so I figured it would just be easier to add both pictures.
Jamie just brought me home some Ginger Ale so I am going to go rest and sip some Ginger Ale.
I stitched a little bit on Little Wings yesterday until I noticed one of my threads was missing and I couldn't find it anywhere, so that took the wind out of my sails. Does that ever happen to you? I stitched the white at the bottom and random small green patches throughout.
Last night at stitching guild was Temari night.
I think I will give this to my mom for mother's day since it matches the one I gave her for Christmas. It feels nice to be ahead for a change!
I hope where ever you are is warm today. Here on Prince Edward Island the windchill is -30 Celsius. Cold!
So we are having a lazy day indoors.
Yesterday I stitched on Little Wings some more. Can you guess what color??? Right Green!! Oh and a little white. There is a lot of green in my future yet though.
Today is Islander day here so no school or work and it is my nephew's 13th birthday so we are going for some cake later. I am not looking forward to leaving my warm house though.
Day 192 on Hannah Lynn. That is all I got for you today.
Happy Valentines Day!!
We went out last night for supper and a movie. We saw Dirty Grandpa. Not my usual taste in movies, but it was really funny and I actually really liked it. But fair warning, it was very vulgar.
Here is the promised picture of Little Wings. I am pretty happy with it for 18 days of stitching.
And here is the 19th day progress. Green, green, and more green. Luckily green is my favorite color.
Today while I was at my mom's I found 2 buttons for Joy to the World. All that is left is to put some backing on it. My mom had a really good idea to use old Christmas cards and use the verse that is on the inside for the backing. Now I have to look through my Christmas cards, I knew there was a reason I was saving them.
And Thomas just wanted to kiss his big brother but Brayden was not really in a kissy mood.
But when Thomas wants to give you a kiss it is easier to just let him because he won't stop until he gets you.
I started Snow Birds by Country Cottage Needleworks from the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Christmas issue for the Christmas Ornie SAL blog. This month the theme is snow and I know it is called Snow Birds but I think they look more like seagulls and I am quite ok with that since I live on an island and seagulls are quite plentiful around here even in the winter.
If you would like to join the Christmas Ornie SAL blog and stitch an ornament a month head over to the blog and all the sign up info is on the right. If not still head over and check out all the lovely things that are being stitched.
Yesterday was spent filling in some green here and there on Little Wings. I think tomorrow when I pull it out to work on I will move the Qsnaps and take a picture of the whole thing for you guys.
Peter Polar bear has a head! He is #2 in the Advents Animals freebie from Brooke's Books.
It is a beautiful sunny day here today and I had to take a run in town this morning and as I was ushering Thomas out of the house he was fighting me on going outside and when I asked him what the problem was he says "The sun hurt ma eyes!" It is literally an eye-hurtin' sunny day and I can't wait for summer, I am ready for more days like this!
I worked some more on Little Wings yesterday and finished filling in the lower pink bow and some green here and there. It was so nice to get back to this one again.
We are stormed in here today, high winds and snow is a bad combo. But makes for a good stitching!
I hope you all getting lots of stitchy time in today too!
I only had a few minutes to stitch on Hannah Lynn. I may have put in 20 stitches so not much change from the last time I showed it.
We are attempting potty training. I started training Brayden on the day he turned 2, I thought it would be simple and he would be trained in a few weeks at the most. Wrong, he was almost 4 before we were done with it. So with Thomas I decided I would wait until he showed signs of being ready. So this last week or so he started telling me when he was wet and wanting to be changed so I thought now's the time. The first day went awesome, I thought we had it made. That was 5 days ago and yesterday I asked him if he wanted to use the bathroom and he yells at me "No! Me no pee anymore!" And I said "You are not going to pee ever again?" And he yells back "No more pee!!!" So I have decided to just leave that alone for a couple days. I never thought a 2 year old would get the best of me but here we are.
